Arundel Wins A Bundle From Mike Pero Mortgages

Motueka’s Daniel Arundel was presented with a cheque for $10,000 from Mike Pero Mortgages on Tuesday night, after winning the major prize in a recent Mike Pero Mortgages radio promotion ‘Get out of the red and Back in Black’, which aired on The Rock.

The aim of the ‘Get Back in Black’ promotion was to help listeners bust their debt, to help them become more financially fit by getting their finances organised, by consolidating high
interest debt with a personal loan at a lower interest rate and over a more manageable term.

If listeners took out a personal loan, mortgage or insurance product with Mike Pero Mortgages, they went in the draw to win $10,000.

Nelson broker Bob Llewellyn says Daniel had several loans which were consolidated. “I went and visited Daniel at Riwaka and we sat down and went through all his outstanding
debt and discussed his personal position. We came up with a debt consolidation package which helped him get out of the red and ‘Back in Black’.”

Daniel was then eligible to go in the $10,000 draw. Bob Llewellyn says he was thrilled to be the one to break the good news to Daniel.

“It’s just brilliant that my man won. Daniel thought I was pulling his leg when I told him he’d won $10,000. He was over the moon.”
Daniel Arundel says that’s exactly how he felt. “I really thought Bob was just joking. I couldn’t believe my luck. I’ve never won anything like
this before. I could think of heaps of things I could do with $10,000 but I think I’m going to be quite sensible about it and put most of it towards my loan,” he says.

Daniel says he had ended up with a few loans and couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. When he heard about the Mike Pero Mortgages radio promotion and that they were
helping listeners bust their debt, he knew he had nothing to lose. “I’d got myself into a situation where the money was going out faster than it was coming in.
Sitting down with Bob and talking about my debt and how to consolidate it was a really worthwhile exercise. It means I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel,” says Daniel.
